About this program

The Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft (SAFA) initiative was originally established by the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) and is currently overseen by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Its purpose is to verify that foreign aircraft operating within European airspace adhere to established international safety standards.
The Safety Oversight Course (SAFA) offers participants comprehensive instruction on the legal foundations, methodologies, and hands-on execution of SAFA ramp inspections. Topics include inspector duties, inspection techniques, reporting protocols, and the utilization of the European SAFA/SACA database.
